The Russian Satellite News Agency, Moscow, July 17th. The results of a study conducted by the Russian Federation of Asian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs show that the index that determines the degree of favorable conditions for Chinese product importers – “Chinese Product Importers Happiness Index”, will increase in 2022. to the maximum value.
The index is informally known as the “Happiness Index of Chinese Product Importers,” according to sources. The index is assessed based on the following criteria, including the level of consumption power in Russia, the rate of industrial inflation in China, the time and cost of delivery of goods, the cost of borrowing and financing for importers, and the ease of settlement.
The study includes statistics based on the Russian Federal Bureau of Statistics, the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, and logistics operators.
According to the research, at the end of June, the index value increased by 10.6% compared with the March data. Therefore, for the importers of Chinese products, it has formed the best situation since the beginning of the year.
The overall trend is improving, mainly due to slower industrial inflation in China, a stronger ruble, and lower borrowing costs, the research report said.
According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, in the first half of 2022, the trade volume between Russia and China increased by 27.2% year-on-year to $80.675 billion. From January to June 2022, China’s exports to Russia were US$29.55 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%; China’s imports from Russia were US$51.125 billion, an increase of 48.2%.
On July 15, the charge d’affaires of the Russian Embassy in China, Zhelokhovtsev, told Sputnik that the trade volume between Russia and China in 2022 may reach 200 billion US dollars, which is very realistic.
